主要从事分布式计算与系统、边缘计算、云存储、无线网络性能优化等领域的科研工作，近年来先后主持国家重点研发计划重点专项课题、国家自然科学基金重点项目、国家自然科学基金项目、江苏省重点研发计划项目、江苏省科技支撑计划项目、国家电网科技计划项目等国家级、部省级科研项目的研究工作，并作为核心骨干参与多项国家973计划项目、国家863计划项目、国家自然科学基金重大研究计划项目的研究工作。在包括IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications、IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems、IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing、IEEE Transactions on Computers、ACM MobiHoc、IEEE ICDCS、ACM/IEEE IWQoS等在内的国内外权威学术刊物及重要国际会议发表论文100余篇，其中发表在IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems上的论文被遴选为当期亮点论文（Spotlight Paper）。申请发明专利20余件，软件著作权4件。先后多次担任国际学术刊物专辑的特邀编辑，并应邀担任IEEE TIT、TPDS、TMM、TVT、TETC等国际一流刊物的审稿人。研究成果获得2016年江苏省科学技术一等奖、2018年国网科技进步奖一等奖。指导硕士研究生两人获得江苏省优秀硕士论文。
